IXEurope in World Record Abseiling Attempt

IXEurope, Europe's specialist datacenter services company have proudly supported Cancer Research UK in their World Record Abseil at Twickenham Rugby Stadium on Sunday 6th March.

The event was first held by Cancer Research UK at the stadium in 2002 when over 190,000 was raised for the charity. In 2003 the event was repeated to achieve a total of 1,139 taking part. This year, Cancer Research hope to beat their previous total taking it to over 1,200 people, whilst also raising over 200,000 towards lifesaving research.

Ten of IXEurope's braver staff members formed Team IXEurope with the aim of helping Cancer Research to make a difference.

Russell Poole, General Manager UK for IXEurope commented: "This was a great, but terrifying opportunity to see the stadium from a totally different angle. Although we are felt apprehensive, we were delighted to have the chance to support such an excellent cause. We would like to thank everyone who has sponsored us, helping us to raise over 3,900."
