IXEurope receives the Queens Award for Enterprise

IXEurope Plc, one of Europe's largest and fastest growing independent datacentre outsourcers, has today been honoured with the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise, the highest accolade in the United Kingdom that can be made to an organisation. The Queen's Award to IXEurope is being made in recognition of its achievements in developing International Trade.

It is one of just 90 organisations throughout the whole of the United Kingdom to receive this five year award honoured by The Queen in 2006 as she celebrates her 80th birthday.

Established in 1998 with its first IXDatacentre™ opening in London the following year, IXEurope now serves over 400 customers from ten IXDatacentres™ in six cities across France, Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. It employs 120 staff who have delivered an unbroken record of over 30% annual revenue growth in the seven years since the company was established.

The company is regarded as a leading provider of datacentre, connectivity and business continuity services by customers in the enterprise, internet and telecoms markets. Customers across Europe outsource the datacentre element of their IT systems to IXEurope to increase resilience, optimize performance, achieve availability objectives and reduce corporate risk - more cost effectively than doing it in-house.

“IXEurope's remarkable achievement demonstrates the strength of our teamwork across Europe,” said Guy Willner, CEO of IXEurope. “Since we were established we have risen to the opportunities presented in the key European technology markets. The Queens Award is a real tribute to the team, whose foresight, determination and passion for the company has resulted in it becoming one of the European IT industry's great success stories.”

The company's impressive track record at home and particularly overseas is attributable to its highly specified IXDatacentres™ built and managed to rigorous standards, focus on core services that are in tune with the needs of well defined target markets and an ingrained commitment to quality of service and business processes. IXEurope has achieved this as a result of the strength of its management team, vigilant business strategy and decentralized service delivery model.

IXEurope's success has been recognized in ten awards and league table wins in the last four years, and the company has recently scooped Deloitte's European Technology Fast 500, UK Fast 50 and The Sunday Times TechTrack awards for being one of the fastest growing Technology Companies in Europe.
